Sooo. Another trip around, eh?
Sold Kingdom has had quite a year. In addition to a few lab experiments per usual, I put out an LP that at one point I had decided to shelve indefinitely (before I remembered that my art is a fundamental part of how I fight back). I finally played a Cville Goth Night, and I stepped onto stages with a couple of dear friends! I performed music for nearly a full hour on the radio without soiling myself, which 2020 me would have found unfathomable! I have been continually surprised and delighted by the support of all of you out there.
I wish I had figured more of my junk out when I was younger – and it sucks that it seems one can’t achieve wisdom prior to #twinkdeath – but I am convinced I am now in the right place doing the right stuff and you can’t even put a price on that.

On the broadcasting front: Before I know it, it will be the one-year anniversary of my late-night radio show, Limerence Addiction (and we’re already pretty much at the one-year anniversary of my being cleared for solo air time). I am beyond lucky to have found my way into the Teej community and am especially puffed up with pride to be one of its devoted late-night oddlings! I don’t feel at home often, but I definitely feel like I FIT here, more than in most other places.
Also, ironically, having this outlet for interrogating of a lot of old psychological baggage has helped me get on top of some pesky residual limerence… even though it’s the very thing the show is named for and revels in! Funny how that happens. Just another example of the enormous benefit of community radio!

Aaand, finally: It’s year six of my putting out a cover during the holiday season! This year I have chosen a Julie London classic, which can be found, among other places, in V’s jukebox in the 2005 film adaptation of V for Vendetta.
The club promoter and subculture connoisseur Graham Russell (of Instagram account Bitterness Personified) had this to say about Julie London earlier this year:
“…when she recorded the vocals for her albums… she needed to bolster her confidence first by smoking marijuana and drinking whiskey—one of the reasons why she sounds so mellow, husky, and sexy. She’s stoned!”
I am also lucky to have inherited a couple Julie London records from my honorary in-laws!
My version is more of a taunt, but hey, that’s what I do 😄 Also I am sure my immersion in Bond themes of late is peeking out here and there.
Video will be available Dec. 24 at 8:00 p.m. EST
Much, much more to come in 2026!
