2024 Year-End Recap

2024 in a nutshell: I dedicated myself to filling the vacancies that created the desire that has traditionally gotten me in trouble, and fought tooth and nail to see the things that do not serve me as inherently unattractive. Progress is a series of small revelations, and it is not always linear.

Highlights:

I busted myself out of mental boxes by “playing house” in some unfamiliar spaces involving historic architecture.

I got a coach to help me with the ways my brain works that are not diagnosed as adult ADHD BUT THAT LOOK AN AWFUL LOT LIKE ADULT ADHD. She has the experience and the vocabulary to nail down the things I wrestle with and help me lose the shame around them as I develop coping strategies.

Finally, in keeping with my tradition of recent years, here’s a song for ya. It could be dire or triumphant depending on the framing. I first came across it as a little kid.
