The Limerence Epiphany, Cont’d

I’ve made it pretty plain that I have had one main muse for a looong time, and my recent rude awakening on the topic of limerence had to do with them. However, I’d be remiss to give them all the flowers, since when I think back, there have been MANY “Limerent Objects” (LOs) over the years – way more of them than I realized. And since all LOs are, in a way, fictional characters, it stands to reason that a person, especially a very cerebral person, might have a few not-reals in their bunch.

In retrospect, turns out I’ve had my fair share. Here they all are, for your amusement this evening. (I dug deep for this one, friends!)

BACK IN THE DAY

-Tanya Mousekewitz (Fievel Goes West) – WTF, why are there TWO cartoon mice on here

NOTE: I thought hard about whether to include a couple other characters who’d totally light me up when they came on screen or their singing part became audible in a musical number, namely Eponine Thenardier and Sister Mary Robert from Sister Act, but I don’t think there was quite enough titillation involved.

-Everett Calloway (as portrayed by Patrick Dempsey in the movie With Honors, 1994)

OLD ENOUGH TO KNOW BETTER

-Yuri from Doki Doki Literature Club (in my mid-thirties, no less; how embarrassing! But it’s because in her un-futzed-with form, she reminded me of someone I used to know)
